Though Hibiki and crew defeated Earth's super-huge battleship in the first season, the war is far from over. Earth diverts five more battleships towards their homeworlds of Mejeiru and Tarahk. There, if not stopped, the forces of Earth will carry out Karitori (reaping), harvesting the inhabitants' genetic material.
